If using a running stream to cleanse your crystals, you can put your crystal in an organza bag and place that into the running stream to rid them of unwanted negative energy.
This method is very gentle and soothing.
You can even cleanse some crystals in salt water, so maybe a trip to the local seaside rock pool for a crystal cleanse might be appropriate for you? A bonus with that one is that you can also get a great cleansing from the ocean while you are there.
